Nestled at the edge of the Thar desert is the 16th century Rajput fort of Khimsar. Khimsar Fort was established in 1523 CE by Rao Karamsiji, the son of Rao Jodha,
the then ruler of Marwar. 500 years and counting, the fort continues to serve
Rao Karamsiji’s dynasty as its ancestral home, in the form of a spectacular heritage palace.
